Diamonds Tavern Kallangur has been a local icon since it was re-branded and opened in November 2000.
Originally known as Finnigan’s Chin Irish Pub, the pub evolved to reflect the changing character of Kallangur, a suburb rich in history within the City of Moreton Bay.
Kallangur’s roots trace back to the early days of European settlement, when the land was part of the Whiteside Run, a vast pastoral holding claimed by Captain Francis Griffin in 1843.
By the 1870s, prominent figures such as Tom Petrie and Reverend Charles Ogg had acquired extensive grazing properties in the area. Over time, as Brisbane expanded, Kallangur transitioned from farmland to a growing residential community.
As the suburb developed, so did Diamonds Tavern, becoming a beloved meeting place for locals. Over the years, it has provided a welcoming space for residents to gather, share a meal, and enjoy a sense of community.
Whether it has been a place to celebrate milestones, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy a classic pub experience, Diamonds Tavern Kallangur has remained a constant in the ever-evolving landscape of Moreton Bay.
